micro1 is engaging Japanese bilingual experts to contribute to a customer's audio project focused on advancing machine learning. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

Record yourself reading sentences in Japanese, either from a stationary car or a quiet office environment.

Create specific background noises (such as seatbelt clicks, door openings, or car indicator signals) while ensuring all audio is captured with the vehicle stationary and in a safe manner.

Follow detailed linguistic and technical guidelines to ensure consistency and reliability of language data.

Submit high-quality audio recordings and accompanying written feedback as required by the project.

Collaborate remotely with project coordinators on clarifications, updates, or feedback related to deliverables.

Ensure all recordings and data submissions comply with confidentiality and ethical use guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Native-level proficiency in Japanese, with clear enunciation and natural fluency.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and at least B2-level English.

Ability to follow precise instructions and meet project specifications for audio quality and content.

Comfort working independently in a remote setting and managing your own workflow for assigned tasks.

Attention to detail, especially regarding pronunciation, background noise, and data accuracy.
