What the posting says

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join

Airbnb Core Recruiting supports all of Airbnb's businesses, platform, and function teams by attracting and connecting the most talented, diverse, and values-aligned people around the world. We apply talent acquisition strategy and programs, business partnerships, and operational excellence to align our work with Airbnb's evolving talent needs. As culture carriers and ambassadors, we foster belonging and host every candidate with authentic hospitality.

The Early Career & Emerging Talent (ECET) team sits at the center of this work, focused specifically on interns and apprentices across every global region. We support all Airbnb teams interested in engaging junior talent as a way to fuel impactful projects and build a pipeline for future roles — touching every aspect of the experience, from university and community partnerships to hiring manager advising, onboarding, and program design.

The Difference You'll Make

This is a hybrid role with an intentional split: approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to full-cycle recruiting, and 30% to intern and apprentice program support.

On the recruiting side, you will own intern and apprentice roles across both technical and non-technical functions — including Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Communications, Public Policy, and Legal. The roles are a mix of undergraduate and graduate-level (MBA, JD, PhD) students. You'll also support international programs as needed, working alongside team members in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

On the program support side, you'll serve as a key participant-facing touchpoint for US-based intern and apprentice cohorts. Because you built the relationship during recruiting, you're well-positioned to support participants through pre-onboarding, program participation, and conversion. This continuity is intentional — it makes for a stronger experience for interns and apprentices, and a more connected one for hiring managers.

A Typical Day

Recruiting (~70%)

Manage full-cycle recruiting for intern and apprentice roles across both technical (Engineering, Data Science) and non-technical (Finance, Communications, Public Policy, Legal) functions

Support international programs as needed — partnering with regional team members and adapting sourcing strategies for hiring across Asia, Europe, and Latin America

Design function- and region-specific sourcing strategies to build interest with university students and meet intern and apprentice demand across business groups

Partner with universities, organizations, and regional vendors to source candidates and manage the experience through the recruiting process

Ensure a smooth, consistent, and high-quality candidate experience from first contact through offer close

Manage requisitions in Greenhouse — sourcing, tracking, interview coordination, offer extension, and offer letter generation

Partner with hiring managers on role strategy and competitive hiring approach; facilitate debrief discussions with interviewers

Plan and host virtual and in-person recruiting events — including information sessions, campus events, and candidate engagement activations — to build pipeline and strengthen Airbnb's presence with early career talent

Educate and consult hiring managers new to intern and apprentice recruiting on best practices, interview design, and expectations

Work flexible hours as needed to support multiple regions and program timelines

Program Support (~30%)

Build community with the incoming intern and apprentice cohorts before they start — hosting pre-onboarding touchpoints, fostering connection across the cohort, and serving as a go-to resource for questions before Day 1

Participate in intern and apprentice kickoff and orientation events, contributing to a strong first-week experience for the cohorts you placed

Facilitate group check-ins for your US program cohorts during the program, and surface concerns to the ECET program lead

Serve as an accessible resource for interns and apprentices throughout their program — a familiar face who can answer questions, triage issues, and connect them to the right support

Support the full-time conversion process — delivering decisions to interns with care, answering their questions, and serving as a trusted point of contact through one of the most important moments of their program

Attend and support early career programming events (speaker series, L&D workshops, socials) across your cohorts as appropriate

Your Expertise

6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in university recruiting or early career talent

Experience recruiting across both technical (engineering, data science) and non-technical functions, including graduate-level

Experience working across multiple regions (APAC, EMEA, LATAM) in partnership with regional team members

Prior experience supporting internship or apprenticeship programs beyond recruiting — including onboarding logistics, participant communications, or program coordination

Comfortable in a hybrid role that moves between recruiting and program management

Willingness and ability to travel several times throughout the year for in-person programming, campus events, and conferences

Experience partnering with hiring managers, interviewers, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the hiring process

Strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously — multiple reqs, multiple programs, multiple regions

Patient, communicative, and relationship-oriented — able to build trust with candidates, interns, hiring managers, and program partners

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong ATS hygiene and data management habits

Experience using data to track and evaluate recruiting success over time

Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills; comfortable facilitating group conversations with participants and managers

You use (or are excited to learn) AI tools and agents to automate the repetitive and free up time for higher-impact work.
