What the posting says
Looking for Filipino (Philippines-based) candidates
Job Role: Operations Manager
Compensation range: $2000 - $3000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type:Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: A boutique brand, digital and website agency recognised for its strategic, people-first approach and strong client relationships. The agency works with B2B product and B2C service-based organisations across industrial, health, community initiatives, and impact-focused sectors, delivering high-quality work built on authenticity and integrity.
Role Overview: This is a senior, autonomous role - second in command to the Founder. You'll be the final gatekeeper on client deliverables, the engine behind the team's workflow, and a key operator across design, content, web delivery, and project management.
The right person has at least 10 years of hands-on experience inside a creative or marketing agency. You've done the hard yards across design, copywriting, web builds, and content marketing. You don't just know what good looks like, you'll call it out when something isn't there yet and push the team to fix it before it reaches a client.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing all client deliverables before they go out: quality control, copy accuracy, design consistency, and brand alignment
Managing and organising the team's workflow via Teamwork (project management, budgeting, reporting, time tracking, utilisation schedules, account oversight)
Spearheading team meetings and directions
Overseeing and improving SOPs and project delivery processes
Supporting the delivery of websites across WordPress (Elementor preferred), Shopify, and Squarespace
Critiquing design and content work: flagging layout issues, font misuse, negative spacing, off-brand copy, and anything that shouldn't go to a client
Coordinating client communications using established templates, and managing client services and escalations professionally
Contributing to and overseeing email campaigns, social media packages, ads, and website copy
Supporting light HR and team coordination functions as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
10+ years of experience inside a creative or marketing agency: design, content, web delivery, or similar
A background that spans multiple disciplines: graphic design (brand and print), digital content, web builds, content marketing, and paid or organic marketing
Deep familiarity with WordPress ( Elementor) and WooCommerce, you know how to operate it.
Experience with Shopify and ideally Squarespace
A strong eye for design: you can walk into a layout and immediately identify what's wrong and how to fix it
Exceptional attention to detail in copy
Comfort with AI tools and an understanding of how they're being applied in modern marketing workflows
Experience with Google Suite, Gmail, and project management platforms (Teamwork or similar)
Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to manage clients and team members with professionalism
High personal standards. You don't send out work you're not proud of.
Employment Structure:
This is a direct contractor engagement. You'll be available Australian Business Hours (AEST) work on a monthly retainer and manage your own schedule, equipment, and time off. Focus is on outcomes and quality of output.
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
Be available for meetings and collaboration during core [AEST or PHT] business hours
Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
