Software Cloud Architect

Salary: CHF 135'000 - 150'000 per year

Requirements:

Demonstrated track record in roles such as Software Architect, Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar positions.

Extensive expertise in leading cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Profound knowledge of Java and Java-based technologies, including Java EE / Jakarta EE and Spring Boot.

Proficient in the use of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Hands-on experience with microservices, serverless computing, and cloud-native design patterns.

Capability to navigate through various abstraction layers. Possession of strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrates a customer-centric and communicative approach with a high level of responsibility.

Outstanding proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy in alignment with the company's goals, fostering the transition towards a more cloud-native product.

Architect cloud-native structures, carefully selecting relevant cloud services and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to enhance scalability, availability, and performance of our product. Aid development teams in embracing cloud-native best practices, offering guidance on containerization, serverless computing, and microservices architecture.

Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards through the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions and best practices. Continuously monitor and optimize the cloud infrastructure to enhance the efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of the product.

Advocate for automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to streamline deployment and operations.

Mentor teams on cloud-native concepts and technologies, fostering a culture of perpetual learning and innovation.

Collaborate with other architecture specialists to shape the overall architecture.

Act as a partner, coach, and consultant for product owners, technical and business-oriented development teams, and colleagues from technical consulting throughout the planning, delivery, and execution phases.

Stay abreast of ongoing developments and innovations in cloud and container technologies.
