What the posting says

Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human

Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.

This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

As the Advocacy & Content Strategist, you will serve as the program architect and content engine that mobilizes Okta and Auth0 experts, customers, partners, developers, and security practitioners into vocal brand advocates. Operating as an individual contributor within Customer Acceleration, you are responsible for building structured customer programs and co-creating content with power users that amplify our post-sales experiences across learning, badging, certification, support and customer success, while driving product adoption and customer success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Scale & Activate Customer Champions: Operationalize and grow structured advocacy frameworks, like the Champions Program, complete with badging milestones, gamified recognition, and tiered perks that incentivize long-term participation. Build repeatable processes to systematically surface champion expertise and route these user voices into high-impact content formats, GTM initiatives, and key business moments.

Co-Create Content with Technical Users: Partner directly with internal, partner and customer champions, developers, and practitioners to co-produce user-generated content (UGC), technical deep-dives, AMAs, expert Q&As, and customer-led blogs.

Develop Customer Success Storytelling: Identify, interview, and write compelling customer success stories, case studies, and advocate spotlights that prove the business value of our post-sales experiences (Education, Certification, Premier Services).

Content Engine to Partner Teams: Act as the core content provider for adjacent teams. Collaborate with Product Marketing (PMM) to align advocate stories with product positioning and GTM launches, while supplying Community Operations with structured program assets to activate the Okta and Auth0 community platforms, and Social Media and Care with authentic user stories for external distribution (e.g., Reddit, LinkedIn).

Build the GTM signal engine: Partner with community engineers to design and deploy agentic AI workflows that continuously monitor our user communities for strategic signals like trending questions, unmet product needs, sentiment shifts, and buyer intent indicators. Build process to route that intelligence automatically to Product, Marketing, and Customer Success stakeholders who can act on it.

Optimize Assets for Generative AI & Search (AEO/GEO): Structure, format, and tag advocate content and user-generated knowledge so it is discoverable and cited by LLMs and search engines (Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini).

Measure Program & Business Impact: Track key program and content health metrics, including Champion growth/retention, UGC volume, customer success stories sourced, and content citation frequency.

Required Skills

3+ years of experience in Community Advocacy or Content Strategy within a B2B SaaS environment.

Experience building and managing engagement programs that focus on developing technical and business thought leadership.

Demonstrated ability to read and work within technical content environments and restructure them into clear, accessible, search-optimized narratives that resonate with a general audience.

Experience interviewing enterprise customers or developers and writing clear, engaging technical case studies and spotlight stories.

Experience working with content performance data and analytics tools to build dashboards, identify trends, and communicate findings with clear business context.

Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align on shared goals and route intelligence into action.

Preferred Skills

Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar to track content performance and user behavior.

Background in a B2B SaaS or post-sales environment with exposure to go-to-market motions and customer success programs.

Experience building or working with agentic AI workflows, automation pipelines, or custom AI tools applied to content or community use cases.
