Position Summary

Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a highly qualified Agile Coach to help delivery teams adopt agile practices and support organizational change in digital service delivery. This is a potential, fully remote role that coaches teams and stakeholders, establishes agile portfolio processes, and builds an agile culture using lean and agile methodologies. The coach strengthens coordination, governance, and visibility into delivery progress while developing staff members’ ability to coach others. The position supports all task areas. This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Key Responsibilities

Enable delivery teams to adopt agile practices and perform development activities.

Establish processes for managing a portfolio of work using agile approaches.

Drive strategic organizational change to support adoption of agile techniques.

Embed an agile culture using techniques from a range of agile and lean methodologies and frameworks.

Use coaching, advising, workshops, and mentoring to help teams and stakeholders apply relevant tools and techniques.

Enable stakeholders to access accurate, current project and program status without disrupting delivery teams.

Apply appropriate tools and techniques to team roles, behaviors, structure, culture, agile ceremonies and practices, and knowledge transfer and sharing.

Support program management, cross-team coordination, and governance of digital service delivery.

Ensure that key metrics and requirements supporting teams and delivery are well defined and maintained.

Equip staff with the skills and ability to coach others.

When assigned at the organizational level, coach executives on the fundamental considerations of digital service delivery design.

Required Qualifications

At least five years of relevant experience directly related to the agile coaching duties and responsibilities described above.

Experience enabling agile delivery, establishing agile portfolio processes, and supporting organizational adoption of agile and lean practices.

Ability to coach and mentor teams and stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and develop staff members’ coaching capabilities.

Experience supporting delivery metrics, requirements, status visibility, cross-team coordination, and governance.

Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach certification or equivalent.

Minimum Education

Undergraduate degree required.

Salary range $180,000 to $215,000 annually
