What the posting says
AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.
AlphaGov is seeking an AI Governance / Responsible AI Specialist to develop practical AI-use and governance policy for public agencies and utilities — covering acceptable-use guardrails, risk assessment, privacy, model documentation, and implementation-ready policy frameworks that also support multi-entity AI services pursuits.
What you'll do:
Draft comprehensive AI use and governance policies tailored to public-agency or utility operating contexts
Define responsible-AI guardrails: risk tiers, human oversight, privacy, transparency, and documentation standards
Produce model-risk / data-handling assessment templates and compliance documentation
Advise stakeholders on adoption roadmaps that balance innovation with public trust
Contribute AI-governance qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned
Requirements
Required:
AI governance, responsible-AI, or AI data-governance practice experience
Ability to translate frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF or comparable) into usable agency policy
Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites
Nice to have:
Public-sector data-policy or privacy experience
Utility, municipal, or higher-education AI policy work
Prior NIST AI RMF, EO 14110-adjacent, or state AI-policy implementations
