What the posting says
What's it about?
At Event Inc, we make meetings, events and business travel easier. Our platform connects companies with hotels, venues and service providers and automates processes that would otherwise take days. We work AI-first: AI agents aren’t an experiment for us, they’re a core part of our everyday engineering.
As a AI-Native Software Engineer (Human) you use AI agents to build features across repositories, languages and systems that genuinely help our customers. And you always stay accountable for the result: AI writes along, you decide.
Your role
Build new features spec-first: define requirements and edge cases, implement with AI, review critically, and ship in small, clean steps.
Get up to speed quickly in unfamiliar codebases and languages with AI support, and refactor across repositories.
Integrate external APIs, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) and SaaS tools securely and cleanly, including secrets and access management.
Own reliability: monitoring, structured debugging and safe releases, so problems are caught before customers notice.
Work directly with Product, Design and non-technical stakeholders to turn unclear requirements into clear solutions.
Make the whole team more AI-fluent by sharing actively your agents, tools, workflows and learnings in code reviews and team syncs.
What we like
Several years of experience as a AI-Native Software Engineer and a solid foundation in clean, testable code
Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and a healthy skepticism toward unverified output
Experience with API and cloud integrations as well as monitoring and debugging in production
Pragmatism: realistic commitments, raising blockers early, keeping quality high even under time pressure
Open communication: you raise concerns with data and then fully commit (disagree & commit)
A healthy approach to mistakes: you learn from them, share them openly and turn them into better processes
Excellent English skills; German is a plus
What you like
AI-first engineering: A team that thinks AI-first and gives you room to try new tools and workflows, with real impact on a product used daily by companies and venues.
Team spirit that’s fun: Look forward to a motivated, highly skilled team with flat hierarchies and genuine team spirit. Plus regular team events like after-work drinks on the rooftop terrace, culture nights or game nights.
Save smart: Enjoy exclusive discounts on top brands and travel through PepXpress and Corporate Benefits.
Well taken care of: The obligatory fruit basket, a muesli bar and cold and hot drinks are available to you at any time.
Your choice of hardware: You decide whether you work on a Mac or a Windows device.
Working hours: Our core hours are 10 am to 5 pm. You shape the rest around your own rhythm.
An office with a wow factor: You work with a view of the Elbe and some of Hamburg’s most beautiful landmarks.
Pick your perk: Choose between €20 Benefitsy, a €20 subsidy for your Deutschlandticket or €20 towards Urban Sports.
Growth: We support your development with a learning budget of €300 per year.
Taking care of your future today: You receive up to €100 per month towards your retirement and savings goals (company pension & capital-forming benefits).
