AI Software Engineer Intern – Securities Settlement Migration

Salary: CHF 55'000 - 75'000 per year

Requirements:

Masters degree student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Strong foundations in software engineering, algorithms, and object-oriented design

Good programming skills in Java or a comparable language

Knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, or AI development frameworks

Understanding of distributed systems and backend application development

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to navigate and understand large existing codebases

Interest in financial systems and enterprise-scale applications

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Curiosity, autonomy, and a passion for learning

Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate

Responsibilities:

Leverage AI and LLM-based techniques to analyze, document, and understand large legacy codebases

Reverse-engineer business processes and technical workflows, transforming implicit knowledge into structured technical specifications

Design and prototype solutions that transition batch-oriented processes toward service-oriented and event-driven architectures

Develop automation tools that accelerate analysis, migration, and validation activities

Build automated test frameworks to ensure functional correctness and operational reliability

Improve observability through metrics, monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities

Contribute to architecture reviews and technical discussions with senior engineers and software architects
