Role description:

Builds native Android features, working with the Android SDK, backend APIs, and databases, across a range of device types.

Responsibilities

Design and build native Android features using the Android SDK

Integrate with backend APIs and databases

Write maintainable, reusable code and refactor as needed

Support functionality across multiple Android device types and screen sizes

Collaborate with a cross-functional development team

Use Git for version control and code collaboration

Required

5+ years of Android development experience, including apps that support multiple device types

Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, plus experience working with databases and APIs

Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to write maintainable code and recognize when refactoring is needed

Experience with Git

Experience with Internet/Mobile Banking or another customer-facing digital platform

Ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred

CI experience (Gradle, GitHub Actions, Artifactory)

Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito)

Code quality tooling (SonarQube, Lint, Detekt)

Experience with other mobile platforms

Comfortable using AI tools for analysis, documentation, and process improvement
