Team description

As an Anti-Money Laundering Analyst in our AML Brazil team, you'll work on the front line of transaction monitoring, reviewing the alerts that tell us when something in a financial pattern doesn't look right. Your investigations help SumUp spot money laundering and other financial or reputational risks early, and your findings can become reports submitted to regulatory authorities, so your judgement has a real impact on how we meet our obligations in Brazil. You'll be part of a global AML structure, working with international colleagues every day, which means you'll share knowledge, learn how financial crime is tackled in other markets and build skills that go well beyond your local team.

What you'll do

Investigate alerts generated by monitoring systems, review the transactions behind them and document clearly what the evidence shows

Prepare detailed case files and suspicious activity or transaction reports for submission to regulatory authorities

Spot patterns and anomalies that may point to money laundering or other reputational and financial risks, and raise them early

Meet the agreed service levels for alert reviews and case turnaround set by team leadership, balancing speed with quality

Share guidance and support teammates with their investigations, helping the team keep a consistent standard

What you'll bring

Hands-on experience in anti-money laundering, ideally within a payment institution, with a track record of investigating alerts and documenting findings.

Solid knowledge of AML regulations and the legal requirements of the financial market.

Advanced English for reading technical material and working with international colleagues.

A sharp analytical mindset and close attention to detail when assessing whether a pattern points to real risk.

Ability to work under time pressure and to resolve disagreements constructively as part of a team.
