AP Accountant (Parental Leave Cover)

The Finance team plays a crucial role in maintaining Veriff's financial health and stability. We use strategic decision-making to facilitate Veriff's growth while developing innovative financial solutions that align with our mission of creating a safer internet. Our team values collaboration, creativity, and forward-thinking, constantly exploring novel ways to push boundaries.

As a member of the Finance team, you will help support our data-driven culture by managing the accounts payable process with all stakeholders. Your positivity, knowledge in accounting, and fast “can-do” attitude will help to find quick solutions to even the most unusual problems that arise in a high-growth start-up life environment.

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

Processing and reviewing purchase invoices, card transactions, and expense reports, and routing them for approval

Maintaining our expense management SaaS tools

Ensuring accurate cost allocation and periodization of expenses

Preparing and processing bank payment files

Handling periodic bank and account reconciliations

Supporting month-end closing activities

Assisting with additional ad-hoc duties to support the Accounting Department

Doing all of the above for our Estonian operations, but also supporting operations in the US, Spain, and the UK

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

2+ years of experience in finance/accounting (or are a final-year accounting student)

Fluency in written and spoken Estonian and English with excellent communication skills

Understanding different aspects of accounting rules and regulations

A detail-oriented mindset, while also having generalization skills

A “can-do” attitude, with the ability to prioritize and deliver

A solution-oriented approach—bringing recommendations alongside any identified issues

A collaborative team spirit, paired with the ability to work independently

You’re an especially awesome match if you have:

Experience working in a multinational team or multi-entity company

Experience with expense management tools and AP approval processes
