What the posting says

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

Snowflake is building the data and applications platform for the AI era. We are looking for an Applied AI Intern to join our engineering team in Warsaw and help build, evaluate, and deploy AI applications for real customer use cases.

You will work with experienced AI engineers and researchers on production-oriented systems such as AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, LLM integrations, and data applications. You will gain experience taking a solution from prototype to production and contributing to reusable engineering assets and platform improvements.

What We Offer

Paid, full-time internship on the Applied AI engineering team

Mentorship, regular feedback, and support from experienced AI engineers and researchers

Hands-on work with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, Python, SQL, and modern AI development tools

Exposure to the engineering lifecycle, including design, implementation, evaluation, testing, deployment, and monitoring

Opportunities to present your work, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and be considered for future full-time or internship roles

What You Will Do

Build and iterate on AI pipelines, agents, and data applications within team-led customer or product engagements

Turn business goals into engineering tasks, prototypes, and measurable outcomes with guidance from senior engineers

Contribute to evaluation frameworks, test datasets, observability, and experiments that improve AI quality

Help productionize solutions through reliability, safety guardrails, monitoring, and human-review workflows

Collaborate with customer data science and engineering teams while writing clean, tested Python and SQL

Participate in design reviews, code reviews, debugging, documentation, and other software development activities

What We Expect

Currently pursuing or recently completed (within the last 12 months) a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

Interest in ML, LLMs, generative AI, RAG, AI agents, or data-intensive applications

Strong programming skills in Python

Familiarity with version control, testing, debugging, and code reviews

Ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks, collaborate effectively, and communicate technical ideas clearly

Nice to Have

A project involving LLMs, RAG, agents, machine learning, or data systems

Experience with Snowflake, Snowpark, Cortex, Streamlit, Spark, or AWS, Azure, or GCP

Understanding of distributed systems, model serving, or inference infrastructure

Experience creating evaluation datasets, test suites, benchmarks, or observability for AI systems

Previous internship, research, open-source, or personal software engineering experience

What You Will Learn

How to build and deploy production-oriented AI applications, including agents, RAG systems, and LLM integrations

How to define quality metrics, evaluate AI behavior, and use structured testing to identify failure modes and prevent regressions

How to apply reliability, safety, monitoring, observability, and human-in-the-loop practices

How to scope ambiguous problems, make engineering trade-offs, collaborate with customers, and present technical work
