Overview of the Role:

Assistant Managers (AM) directly monitor, supervise and coordinate activities of the assigned team. Assistant Managers act as a liaison between clients, team staff, and management to ensure program success and client satisfaction. Assistant Managers report to the Department Manager and have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise the work of team members to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and established procedures, correcting errors or problem

Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies and arrange/schedule all training to be provided

Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems

Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues in conjunction with management to resolve problems

Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff members

Review and monitor workload levels to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing levels

Make recommendations to management concerning issues such as staffing decisions or procedural changes

Train new staff members, monitor staff performance, assist with annual performance reviews, mentor and develop staff members to maximize potential

Communicate with colleagues, supervisors and clients in an articulate and professional manner

What You’ll Bring:

Demonstrates leadership experience through progressive responsibility on the LER Ireland team, including past promotions within the team. Candidates must have progressed beyond Level I and achieved Level III.

Has 1-2 years of people management experience, including responsibility for performance management, coaching, and team development

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, pattern recognition and application of analytical criteria to arrive at correct decisions

Ability to manage staff of varying backgrounds and effectively schedule, mentor, coach and train employees

Proficiency in multi-tasking with the ability to adapt to dynamic situations in order to rapidly apply process changes

Proficiency in organizing, planning, prioritizing, analyzing, assessment, problem-solving and time management

Demonstrates good judgment, exercises discretion, and maintains confidentiality

Demonstrates proficiency in negotiation, conflict management, and supervisory skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client tools/applications

CTIPS Certification preferred
