University degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Systems, Software, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

Business-fluent (negotiation level) English is required; good working proficiency in German is highly desirable.

Experience working with national customers is considered highly favorable.

Willingness to travel as needed to support project deliverables and partner meetings.

Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the avionics engineering for safety-critical systems, acting as the primary avionics architect or as development responsible.

Independently drive end-to-end engineering activities, including analyzing customer requirements, creating subsystem requirements, tailoring development processes, tracking requirements, conducting risk analysis, implementation, verification, and validation.

Apply profound expertise in functional verification or other key avionics fields such as software engineering, simulation, or mission analysis.

Ensure all development aligns with relevant engineering processes and overarching industry standards (e.g., ECSS).

Take ownership of complex work packages involving multiple stakeholders and assume overall responsibility for delivering On Cost, On Time, and On Quality (OCOTOQ).

Effectively manage and steer subcontractors within our projects or via the SENSE framework.

Actively participate in space exploration proposals and oversee technical trades and accurate cost estimations.
