About the Team

The Configuration Processes & Applications team is responsible for the digital sales journey of commercial vehicles, managing vehicle configurators used across sales channels as well as key e-mobility applications. As we build the next generation of our commercial vehicle configurator platform, we are looking for a Backend Developer (AWS) who is passionate about cloud technologies, automation, reliability and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to work in an international environment, contribute to a modern AWS-based platform and play an important role throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from development and deployment to operations and continuous optimization.

You'll be focused in:

• Developing, deploying and maintaining cloud-native applications and infrastructure on AWS

• Designing and improving CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, quality assurance and reliable deployments

• Supporting development teams in delivering secure, scalable and resilient solutions

• Applying DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve platform stability, scalability, observability and operational excellence

• Monitoring application performance, system health and service availability using modern monitoring and logging solutions

• Investigating incidents, identify root causes and drive sustainable improvements

• Contributing to infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting approaches

• Collaborating closely with software engineers, architects, product owners and operations teams in an agile environment

• Helping establish and continuously improve operational processes, deployment strategies and platform governance

• Participating in technical discussions and contribute to architectural and technology decisions

In order to succeed, you'll need:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a comparable qualification

• Professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering or site reliability engineering

• Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native environments

• Experience operating and administering cloud infrastructure in production environments

• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and automation practices

• Experience with Docker and containerised applications

• Knowledge of Python, Java or similar programming languages

• Experience with GitLab or comparable development and deployment toolchains

• Understanding of monitoring, logging and observability concepts

• Knowledge of security, identity management and access control solutions such as Azure AD, Entra ID or Keycloak

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Enjoy working collaboratively in international and cross-functional teams

• Good communication skills and professional proficiency in English

Nice to Have

• Experience administering AWS environments, including IAM, networking, monitoring and cost optimisation

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform

• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms

• Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular or JavaScript

• Knowledge of sales, configuration or e-commerce platforms

• Experience working in automotive or large-scale enterprise environments
