Benefits Verification Specialist – Remote

Pay: $17.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM EST

Breaks: 1-hour unpaid lunch + two paid 15-minute breaks

Work Setup: Remote | BYOD

Position Summary

We are seeking a Benefits Verification Specialist to verify patient insurance benefits and accurately document coverage information.

Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility.

Review coverage, cost share, provider options, and restrictions.

Contact insurance companies and document benefit details.

Assist with prior authorizations and claims appeals when needed.

Complete accurate data entry and quality reviews.

Identify and escalate missing information or reimbursement issues.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required.

2+ years of related experience or a 2-year degree.

Healthcare, insurance, medical billing, or customer service experience preferred.

Benefits verification experience strongly preferred.

Strong computer, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Remote BYOD position | $17/hour
