What the posting says

Position Summary:

At managed.com, we're a remote-first, global team. We're also AI-first, so finding practical ways to use AI is part of every role here.

As the Consultant, Technical Product Management, you will own the business case, roadmap, design, delivery, launch, and adoption of integrations between a commerce platform and strategic technology vendors. You will combine technical product leadership with hands-on API prototyping, AI-assisted workflows, and close collaboration with engineering, commercial, customer, and vendor stakeholders. This is an individual-contributor role with substantial day-to-day decision-making autonomy.

What you’ll do:

Build the business case and return-on-investment analysis for integration candidates, and prioritize opportunities using that evidence

Own and maintain the integration roadmap by monitoring vendor API changes, market signals, customer needs, and partner priorities

Own assigned integrations across the full product lifecycle, from modeling and prototyping through production launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration

Define consistent customer-facing journeys and integration design standards that can be applied across the portfolio

Write clear requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation that delivery teams can build from

Use vendor API documentation, AI assistants, and agentic workflows to research, specify, prototype, and help deliver integrations

Read API payloads and behaviors, map them to subscription and commerce lifecycles, and build working prototypes using an appropriate programming language

Measure launched integrations against agreed adoption, reliability, and ROI targets, and use the findings to guide improvements

Build productive relationships with customers and vendor contacts, agree measurable program goals, and support launch and adoption activities

Collaborate across engineering, solution architecture, product management, sales, account management, and support to deliver complete solutions

Plan, prioritize, and track delivery work using Agile practices and shared delivery tools

Support other tasks or projects as assigned to meet team and business needs

About you:

At least five years of experience in technical product management, solution architecture, business analysis, or software engineering, including product ownership

A programming background and working knowledge of Python, Go, SQL, or a comparable language for reading code, querying data, and building prototypes

Hands-on experience with REST APIs, including reading specifications, interpreting requests and responses, and independently prototyping integrations

Experience creating product requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and customer journeys that engineering teams can implement

Regular, practical use of AI assistants or agentic workflows for research, specification, analysis, or prototyping

Strong business-case development and ROI analysis skills to evaluate and prioritize product opportunities

Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for Agile planning, documentation, and delivery tracking

Ability to create UI/UX mock-ups or prototypes to communicate product functionality.

Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, communicate progress clearly, and take ownership of product decisions

Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English

Experience with cloud marketplaces, distribution, subscription billing, usage collection and rating, or B2B SaaS commerce is an advantage

Exposure to commerce or billing APIs from major technology, cloud, software, AI, or professional services automation vendors

Familiarity with marketplace or integration frameworks, including AI-assisted integration tools

Knowledge of API clients such as Postman and documentation formats such as Markdown

What we offer:

Remote-first work, with team members across many countries

Competitive pay, benchmarked against the markets we hire in

Room to grow, with real ownership of your work and support for professional development

Flexibility in how and when you work, within the core hours your team needs

Access to the AI tools you need to do your work, and the room to experiment with them
