What the posting says

Our digital agency is seeking an experienced Digital Graphic Designer with a strong sense of visual storytelling who can translate written content, data, creative direction, and existing brand systems into polished digital experiences.

You’ll work across a small portfolio of client brands and industries, creating everything from editorial graphics, infographics, illustrations, maps, diagrams, and data visualizations to web page designs, digital marketing assets, product imagery, and branded content. Depending on the project, you may design an original visual from a content brief, extend an established visual system/components/brand guidelines, source and incorporate photography or iconography, lay out a one-page sales sheet, or collaborate with our content and development teams on the visual presentation of an entire webpage.

We’re looking for a versatile designer who is comfortable context-switching across accounts and enjoys diving deep into each visual identity. You should be comfortable moving between distinct brands and audiences while maintaining a high standard of visual hierarchy, composition, typography, usability, and brand consistency. Just as importantly, you should be able to look at content and recognize where design can communicate an idea more effectively than words alone.

Apply if you're a skilled graphic designer/illustrator ready to bring strong visual storytelling and technical craft to a small digital agency (even if you don't meet 100% of the listed requirements).

What to expect as the Contract Graphic Designer:

Your team = work is coordinated with our in-house content and strategy team

Your engagement type = bill in arrears

Your estimated volume = ~10–20 hours per week (may increase/decrease depending on our active accounts and your availability)

Your rate/budget range = $55–$125 per hour (based on experience/location)

Your location/time zone = Remote, US time zones preferred

Your responsibilities = (see below)
