Contracts Manager

Fastly is seeking a proactive and strategic Contracts Manager to help scale its commercial Legal and Contracts Management team. As trusted business partners empowering company growth, the ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in contract administration, a passion for managing agreement lifecycles (sales, vendor, and partner contracts), and a track record of building effective relationships with internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

Contract Administration & Execution: Efficiently manage and process a high volume of contracts from initial intake through execution and opportunity close, utilizing core business systems such as Salesforce (SFDC) and automated Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software

Support the Sales Cycle: Demonstrate flexibility required to service a demanding sales organization during high-volume, critical time constraints at month-end and quarter-end close cycles

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate daily with quote-to-cash teams (Deal Strategy, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Sales Operations) to support contractual terms and execute revenue transactions

Review & Negotiation: Review requests for signatures against policy requirements and assist in reviewing and drafting non-complex negotiated legal agreements on Fastly forms following playbook guidance

Process & Documentation Support: Contribute to team documentation, playbooks, templates, and knowledge management to drive process improvements and operational efficiency

Communication & Escalation: Maintain timely communication regarding the status of requests, tickets, and tasks, promptly escalating blockers and complex issues with appropriate recommendations and context

What We're Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: 2-4 years of contract management experience in SaaS, AI or other high-growth and fast-paced technology environments

Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience and proficiency with CRM (Salesforce) and automated CLM tools (such as Ironclad and Docusign) and AI-assisted negotiation tools such as Claude or Gemini to efficiently scale commercial contracting deal support. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate contract administration issues to partners (e.g., attorneys, sales teams) and build trusted internal relationships

Judgment & Problem Solving: Strong time-management and organization skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in executing risk-based assessments aligned with Contracts team policy frameworks.

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

Direct experience implementing enterprise contract management tool rollouts, system migrations, or other major workflow optimizations

Background in contract administration/management at public companies and across multiple global jurisdictions

Work Hours: The standard working hours for this role are during core business hours, Monday through Friday. However, flexibility is required to work outside of these hours on occasion to support business needs, accommodate different time zones, or meet project deadlines.
