We're looking for someone who can use clothing and styling to make the characters feel authentic, contemporary and visually distinct.

What you'll do

Work closely with the Director and Production Designer

Develop the wardrobe direction for the main characters

Create character-specific styling references and moodboards

Plan outfits based on character personality, background and story progression

Adapt wardrobe plans to different shooting locations and weather conditions

The characters

The series includes a mix of:

Young founders

The styling should feel real rather than overly polished.

What we're looking for

Experience in costume design, styling, fashion, film, advertising, editorial or content

Strong understanding of contemporary fashion and character styling

Good eye for color, silhouette and visual identity

Ability to create distinctive looks without unnecessary spending

Strong sourcing and coordination skills

Comfortable working with a lean independent production

Film or web-series experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Working arrangement

Remote: Yes, during pre-production

Travel: Required during production where applicable

Engagement: Project-based / contract

Production window: Late November – early December

Potential locations: San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, London, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bali and other global creative and startup hubs

International and India-based candidates are welcome.

Who you'll work with

You will work closely with:

Creator / Writer / Director

1st Assistant Director

Makeup & Hair

Actors and creative talent

Ideal candidate

You might be a good fit if you:

Understand how clothing communicates personality

Can make characters feel different without making them look like costumes

Have a strong contemporary fashion sense

Know how to work with limited production resources

Are comfortable sourcing clothing quickly

Care about continuity and small visual details

Enjoy working closely with actors and creative teams

How to apply

Please send:

Portfolio / styling work

Instagram / LinkedIn

Previous film, editorial, commercial or content work

Current location

Availability during late November / early December

Expected project fee or day rate

Apply with the subject: Costume & Styling — Web Series Client Project

Aru Labs is coordinating this opportunity on behalf of the client.

Project-based. Remote-first. Travel required during production where applicable.

If you're interested in helping shape how the characters look, evolve and feel on screen, we'd love to see your work.
