What the posting says

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enablement Curriculum and working across a cross-functional Enablement team, you'll build learning experiences that hold up in the field - objectives, practice, assessment, and the content that carries them. This is a builder's role. You'll decide how the learning actually works, and you'll own the quality of what ships.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

Who you are:

An owner: You take pride in your outputs and their outcomes. You take ownership from design through launch and everything that comes after it.

An innovator: You challenge the status quo, bring new ideas, and look for ways to improve what already exists.

An agile problem solver: You shift seamlessly between detail and big picture to meet the moment, adapting to change with a solutions-oriented mindset.

A lifelong learner: You challenge assumptions and use curiosity to drive continuous improvement.

A trusted advisor: You ask sharp questions, synthesize complex ideas, and build relationships to understand and explain ambiguous concepts.

A clear communicator: You bring structure, clarity and polish to your work - written, verbal or visual.

What you’ll do:

Build the curriculum for Global Commercial Customer Success. Develop high-quality enablement content (instructor-led materials, facilitator guides, eLearning, job aids and assessments) for both individual contributors and their frontline leaders, built to instructional design and adult learning principles.

Build within the learner journey. Contribute to and build the components of role-specific journeys (onboarding, everboarding and on-demand) inside the curriculum arc for your area.

Know what good looks like. Translate performance expectations into observable behaviors and clear proficiency standards.

Turn business problems into learning design. Partner with Program Management and Strategy & Operations to identify the key behaviors and knowledge a program needs to shift, and design the learning that gets there.

Own the learning objectives for the programs you build, and design assessments that measure against them.

Build programs that drive durable behavior change. Design practice, reinforcement and refresher paths into programs.

Develop content with build partners and other Enablement teams, including subject matter experts who don't report to you, and manage your build schedule so programs meet quality standards and timelines.

Partner with facilitators, operations teams and test audiences to ensure successful rollouts of new and updated programs.

Help maintain the programs you build, keeping content accurate, current and consistent after launch.

Use AI well. Use AI for scripting, storyboards, assessment drafting and learner-feedback analysis, and coach peers on responsible AI-assisted content creation.

Your experience:

4–5 years in Enablement, Learning & Development, Sales, Revenue Operations or similar (bonus points for a combination)

Proven track record designing and building enablement content with measurable learner impact

Working knowledge of adult learning principles and a learning design methodology (e.g. ADDIE or equivalent)

Ability to design clean, intuitive learning materials across modalities — instructor-led, eLearning, simulation, job aids — blending instructional and visual design

Ability to manage multi-week content projects independently and deliver quality on short timeframes

Experience partnering with subject matter experts and stakeholders in a go-to-market organization

Comfort using learner data — completion, assessment and feedback — to find gaps and improve programs

Understanding of sales processes and challenges in a high-velocity environment

Familiarity with at least one sales methodology (e.g. Command of the Message, MEDDICC, Sandler, Challenger, value-based selling) or equivalent

Bonus Points:

Experience in Sales, Sales Development, Sales Leadership or Sales Operations

Formal grounding in instructional design and adult learning (e.g. ATD CPTD, CPLP or equivalent)

Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS or technology company

Experience with an LMS and content authoring tools

Experience building content that other people facilitate

Basic understanding of the observability, DevOps or cloud space

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits & Growth:

Generous and competitive benefits package

New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan

Continuous career development and pathing opportunities

Employee-focused best in class onboarding

Internal mentor and cross-departmental buddy program

Friendly and inclusive workplace culture
