Data Center Engineering Operations Technician

Salary: 65.000 - 105.000 € per year

Requirements:

High school or equivalent diploma

Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory

We require you to be a national of an EU member state

Experience in data center engineering

Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)

Proficient in German - B2

Responsibilities:

Set and maintain the highest standards for safety and actively promote a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure

Drive continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics

Enable the operations organization to deliver 100% up-time on all customer supporting infrastructure

Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers

Ensure that the preventive maintenance of site-critical facility infrastructure is planned and executed to the highest standards, in accordance with AWS procedures

Carry out facility monitoring and supervision via BMS, PMS, walkthroughs, and related activities

Participate in the successful delivery of build-out and retrofit of Data Center infrastructure

Ensure organizational capability to react and respond appropriately to any potential customer-impacting event on any component of electrical or mechanical infrastructure

Review incident reports, document periodic trend summaries, and provide updates and recommended actions to management

Draft, update, and maintain method statements, standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and technical documentation pertaining to DCEO

Work on a 24x7 schedule where applicable

Work at heights and from ladders

Perform physical tasks during the shift

Work in a noisy environment with ear protection
