Overview

At Instacart, we're transforming the grocery industry through technology and AI-powered solutions.

The Data Operations team partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Machine Learning to build scalable operational processes and high-quality datasets that power advanced AI technologies, including computer vision and machine learning.

We're looking for a Data Operations Manager to lead cross-functional operational initiatives from concept to production. This role combines technical understanding with operational execution, requiring strong ownership, project leadership, and the ability to influence across teams in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job

Design, implement, and scale operational processes that support onboarding, ongoing operations, and future growth.

Lead end-to-end technical implementation projects across product, engineering, machine learning, and operation teams.

Drive operational excellence through KPI ownership, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

Drive the operationalization and rollout of AI and machine learning solutions into production environments.

Take ownership of complex operational challenges, ensuring successful execution and measurable business impact.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Data Operations, Technical Operations, Project Management, or related fields.

2+ years of experience working in an R&D environment.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading technical implementation or integration projects.

Experience working with Computer Vision, AI, or Machine Learning products.

Experience with large-scale data annotation or data quality operations.

Experience working with large-scale datasets.
