Key Responsibilities

The Director, Cloud Services Practice – Digital Health is a senior practice leadership role responsible for establishing, leading, and growing Nordic’s Cloud Services practice across healthcare provider, payer, and digital health client environments.

This leader will define the practice strategy, develop market-facing cloud service offerings, oversee delivery excellence, and build the operating model, methods, partnerships, and talent needed to scale a differentiated cloud advisory and implementation capability.

The role serves as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior technology stakeholders, aligning cloud strategy with clinical transformation, enterprise modernization, cybersecurity, interoperability, analytics, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and measurable business value.

Essential Job Functions

Lead the strategy, operating model, service portfolio, and growth roadmap for Nordic’s Cloud Services practice and serve in client billable roles when necessary

Develop and mature market-facing offerings across cloud strategy, migration, modernization, managed services enablement, governance, FinOps, security, resilience, and data platform modernization

Drive business development in partnership with sales and account leadership, including opportunity identification, solution shaping, proposal development, executive presentations, and RFP responses

Serve as executive sponsor and senior advisor for strategic cloud engagements, ensuring delivery quality, client satisfaction, measurable outcomes, and alignment with healthcare regulatory requirements

Guide cloud transformation programs involving EHR ecosystems, clinical and business applications, enterprise data platforms, integration architectures, cybersecurity controls, and hybrid or multi-cloud environments

Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of cloud architects, engineers, consultants, and delivery leaders while supporting recruiting, utilization, career development, and quality standards

Establish reusable delivery assets, reference architectures, accelerators, assessment tools, estimation models, and implementation playbooks to improve consistency, scalability, and margin performance

Cultivate strategic cloud partner relationships, thought leadership, and go-to-market differentiation across major platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud

Skills and Experience

15+ years of progressive experience in cloud, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, technology consulting, or healthcare IT leadership roles

7+ years of experience advising or delivering technology transformation initiatives in healthcare provider, payer, life sciences, or digital health environments

Demonstrated success building or scaling a consulting practice, service line, managed services capability, or cloud center of excellence

Deep understanding of cloud platforms and operating models, with strong familiarity across Azure and AWS and working knowledge of GCP

Strong knowledge of healthcare technology ecosystems, including EHR platforms, interoperability, clinical and revenue cycle applications, data and analytics platforms, cybersecurity, HIPAA, HITRUST, and related compliance obligations

Proven ability to lead executive client conversations, shape complex opportunities, manage delivery risk, grow revenue, develop talent, and translate cloud capabilities into measurable healthcare business outcomes

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, healthcare administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred

Relevant cloud, architecture, security, or healthcare technology certifications preferred, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, CISSP, CCSP, or HITRUST-related credentials

Other Information

Remote or hybrid role with travel as needed for client delivery, executive relationship management, partner engagement, practice development, and internal leadership activities
