ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Global Instructor Operations leads the operational infrastructure and business affairs function supporting Peloton's global Instructor organization throughout the instructor lifecycle. Working closely with the SVP, Global Content & Instructor Strategy and the Directors of Instructor Strategy globally, this role establishes the operating model, processes, and standards that enable a seamless, scalable, and high-impact Instructor experience.

As the Business Affairs lead for the Instructor organization, the Director serves as the strategic partner for instructor agreements, negotiations, business governance, and operational planning. In partnership with Legal, People, Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders, this role provides guidance on instructor contracts, outside business activities, commercial partnerships, and complex talent matters.

The Director leads the Instructor Operations team, ensuring clear ownership, effective execution, and scalable processes across the global Instructor Strategy organization.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

Serve as the Business Affairs lead for the Global Instructor organization and strategic partner to the SVP, Global Content & Instructor Strategy

Lead instructor contract negotiations for new instructors in partnership with Legal and the SVP, Global Content & Instructor Strategy

Oversee the lifecycle of instructor agreements, including renewals, amendments, documentation, and governance

Provide strategic guidance on contractual commitments, outside business activities, brand partnerships, and commercial opportunities

Partner with Legal, People, Finance, and other stakeholders on complex or sensitive instructor matters

Develop annual contract renewal recommendations and support long-term instructor planning

Shape and maintain the operating model for Global Instructor Operations in collaboration with cross-functional partners, establishing documented processes, standards, workflows, and escalation paths that support the Instructor team and overall Instructor Strategy group

Oversee Instructor communications

Ensure the Integrations Lead, Manager, and Coordinator team effectively execute day-to-day instructor operations, including communications, talent support, resources, and operational workflows

Identify operational gaps and opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and the instructor experience with the team

Provide strategic oversight of major instructor initiatives and tentpole programs

Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-impact instructor operational matters

Lead and develop the Global Instructor Strategy Operations team as an operational center of excellence

Own the operational budget for the Instructor Operations group consistently reviewing and balancing for the Instructor group and the business

Oversee operational vendors, external partners, and resource requirements

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in complex talent management, business affairs, live production, or operational environments

Demonstrated experience managing complex talent relationships or executive-level stakeholders (e.g., in entertainment, sports, agency, hospitality, or high-growth consumer brand environments)

Strong experience building scalable processes, operating models, and systems

Exceptional judgment and discretion when working with high-profile talent and sensitive business matters

Strong organizational, communication, strategic planning, and project management skills

Experience managing budgets, vendors, resources, and competing priorities

Strong analytical skills and experience using operational reporting to inform business decisions

Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization, including executive stakeholders

Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management tools

Ability to travel occasionally (estimated 10–15%) and work during key live events or productions (with advance notice and schedule flexibility)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range

$215,800—$274,900 USD
