Senior Purchasing Coordinator

In this role, you will take on a key responsibility in supporting our Supply Chain Operations which spans various HelloFresh markets across Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. This role will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our ordering processes using a combination of in-house tools and google suite packages. Working closely with the Supply Chain, Procurement and Forecasting teams, this role will place and track purchase orders to ensure the fulfilment of customer orders. As a senior position, this role will role model our HelloFresh values and continuously look for ways to improve our supply chain, contributing to our ongoing efforts to drive business success and enhance customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

Manage category operations across the inbound supply chain, including supplier management, forecasting, purchasing, delivery tracking, and KPI performance for food and/or packaging

Own key performance metrics including On Time, In Full (OTIF), Waste, ASN Compliance, and Customer Errors, identifying trends and driving actions to improve performance

Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams including Forecasting, Procurement, Warehouse, and Inventory to ensure category excellence and fulfilment of customer requirements

Define and execute audit checks to ensure purchase orders are complete, accurate, and aligned with business requirements before being sent to suppliers

Anticipate and resolve supply chain risks by proactively identifying potential issues, taking corrective action, and raising additional purchase orders when required

Manage supplier relationships and queries through clear communication, performance monitoring, reporting, and timely follow-up

Support and guide junior Purchasing Coordinators by sharing best practices, providing operational guidance, and assisting with problem-solving

Drive process, technology, and automation improvements by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, improve accuracy, and streamline purchasing activities

Maintain data integrity and confidentiality by ensuring business and supplier information is accurate, secure, and consistently maintained

Support day-to-day purchasing activities by deputising for other category areas and providing cover during team absences when required

Adapt to changing business needs by remaining flexible and taking on additional duties and responsibilities as priorities evolve

What you’ll bring

Experience: At least 3 years of previous purchasing experience as a Buyer.

Role Type: Project-based role; open to candidates seeking project-based opportunities.

Technical Skills: Expertise in operating Microsoft Office programs, with ERP/MRP system experience is considered ideal.

Inbound Supply Chain & PO Management: Capability to calculate, generate, audit, and adjust purchase orders accurately to keep inbound supply running seamlessly.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Capabilities: Ability to conduct root-cause analysis on operational issues, implement corrective actions, and analyze inventory and delivery schedules.

Data Accuracy & Reporting: Track record of maintaining high data integrity, spotting inconsistencies, and creating operational reports and supplier forecasts.

Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to resolve supplier queries and coordinate cross-functionally with Procurement, Forecasting, Warehouse, and Inventory teams.

Detail Orientation: Strong organization skills and meticulous attention to detail when performing order audits and managing data entry.

Adaptability & Initiative: Proactive, hands-on mindset capable of managing shifting priorities and operating in a fast-paced environment.

Languages: Fluency in English. Additional European languages (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian) are a plus.
