About the Role

As an Event Marketer at Cognition, you will design and deliver the in person experiences that bring our brand and go-to-market strategy to life, from executive programs to large-scale conferences and sponsorship activations. Your events will drive brand awareness, pipeline creation, deal acceleration, and deeper relationships with our most important accounts.

You will own Cognition's event experience end to end, from concept and design through onsite execution, ensuring every program reflects our brand at the highest level of quality and leaves a lasting impression on attendees.

This role is execution-heavy. We are looking for someone who obsesses over details, runs flawless events end to end, thrives under pressure, and coordinates cross-functional teams with precision.

In this role, you will:

Manage Cognition's presence at priority industry conferences and sponsorship activations, including booth design, experiential elements, and attendee engagement strategy

Partner with Product Marketing and Sales to develop compelling event collateral, messaging, and follow-up assets

Own the full logistical lifecycle of events, from vendor negotiations and budget management to contracts, staffing, and scheduling

Craft communications before and after each event, including "Know Before You Go" guides, training for staff and speakers, and structured follow-up outreach

Partner with Field Marketing to engage the GTM team and monitor key event metrics, such as leads generated, pipeline contribution, meetings booked, and audience engagement, to gauge success and shape future planning

Create repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and reference materials that scale alongside Cognition's expanding events calendar

Serve as the primary point of contact for outside agencies, suppliers, and venue teams

Be present at events in person to manage logistics directly and keep execution running smoothly

Use feedback from stakeholders and post-event reviews to continually refine and improve the events function

Requirements for the role:

3-5 years of experience in event marketing at a company known for high-impact events and executive programs or at a premium experiential agency with demanding production standards and large budgets

Proven ability to run end-to-end events including planning, logistics, vendor management, run-of-show creation, and onsite execution under pressure

Experience managing events ranging from 10 to 1,000+ attendees

Track record supporting senior audiences (C-level, VP Eng, CTO) and partnering closely with sales and GTM teams to drive business outcomes

Strong organizational rigor, attention to detail, and a high personal quality bar

Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce and HubSpot

Ability to travel up to 40%

You might excel if you…

Have led event marketing programs at a high-growth startup

Enjoy designing executive experiences and creating moments that differentiate a brand

Thrive when traveling, hosting, problem-solving, and adapting in real time

Are highly organized and operationally minded while still creative

Are energized by high-intensity environments where expectations are high and outcomes are measurable

Think like an owner of the event experience and business impact, not just an executor of logistics
