Robinhood's International Government and External Affairs (IGEA) team drives the company's engagement with regulators, policymakers, and external stakeholders across our global markets, while also building the programs and partnerships that connect Robinhood's mission — democratizing finance for all — to the communities we serve. IGEA sits within Legal, Compliance & Corporate Affairs (LCCA) and works cross-functionally with Government Affairs, Communications, Legal, and Product teams worldwide.

We're looking for an External Affairs Strategist to help lead Robinhood’s financial education and sustainability programs. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who wants to build and run programs that connect Robinhood's mission to tangible community impact. You will partner closely with the Communications, Government Affairs, Marketing, Product, and Legal teams to plan, deliver, and measure Robinhood's financial-literacy initiatives, such as Robinhood Money Drills (Robinhood’s financial education program for athletes and students) and Readiness (Robinhood’s financial education program for military service members). This role will be crucial in enabling Robinhood to achieve its ambitious goal to educate 1 million people through structured, classroom settings by 2030 through the aforementioned programs as well as through organizations like the Council on Economic Education and other K-12 partnerships. You will also support the business in managing the company’s sustainability program, administering GHG emissions measurement and corporate disclosures in consultation with our corporate legal team.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

Own the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of Robinhood's financial education programs (e.g., Robinhood Money Drills, Readiness, K-12 programming)

Manage and maintain relationships with existing financial education partners, ensuring strong day-to-day partner engagement and program delivery

Expand our portfolio of financial education partnerships and Money Drills partner universities

Advance financial education partnership strategy through cross-functional programming and storytelling that connects Robinhood's mission to tangible community impact

Track, measure, and report on program metrics to demonstrate impact and effectiveness to internal and external stakeholders

Manage relevant budget lines, new partner onboarding (including contract negotiation), vendor/partner invoicing, and planning trackers for financial education programs

Draft concise briefing documents, program updates, and partner-facing materials on quick turnarounds

Partner closely with Government Affairs, Communications, and Legal/Compliance to align community programming with company-wide priorities and messaging

Build sustainable, scalable processes for financial education program operations as the function matures

Support Robinhood's ESG/sustainability disclosures and reporting activities by working with key internal stakeholders and external partners

What you bring

4-6 years of experience in community affairs, financial education/literacy programs, nonprofit partnerships, corporate social impact, or a related field

Demonstrated experience managing or supporting external partnerships with nonprofits, foundations, or community organizations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail and timely responses

Strong program and project-management skills; able to run multiple workstreams in coordination with staff, consultants, vendors, and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment

Comfort with ambiguity and a self-starter mentality; able to build and refine programs and processes from the ground up

Experience internally tracking and externally reporting on program metrics/impact

A low ego, collaborative operating style, and a genuine passion for Robinhood's mission of expanding financial access

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$94,000—$110,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$82,000—$97,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$73,000—$86,000 USD
