Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join a customer-facing engineering team building AI software for enterprise organizations. You will work directly with customers to understand complex operational challenges and deliver practical, production-ready solutions that inform the product roadmap.

What You'll Do

Travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally for up to 50% of your time to understand their operational needs.

Design, prototype, and ship working software quickly across varied customer environments and technology stacks.

Partner with engineers and other forward deployed teammates on customer engagements and pilots.

Bring customer feedback and learnings into product development.

Prepare and deliver demos and pilots for prospective customers across manufacturing, automotive, retail, and financial services.

What We're Looking For

One to five years of experience as a customer-facing full-stack engineer or forward deployed engineer, including shipping production code.

Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, LangChain, and Vercel AI SDK, as well as familiarity with Rust, SQL, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, enterprise data systems, and AI/LLM tooling.

Strong systems design and architecture skills, with the ability to translate customer problems into scalable solutions.

A problem-first approach, comfort working through ambiguity, and experience adapting to different industries and technology environments.

A degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field, and experience as a startup founder or early engineer is valued.

Based in the UK and able to travel nationally and internationally. Must have work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: GBP 100,000 to 175,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
