What the posting says

Title: Fractional CMO/CGO

Location: Remote (Germany-based)

Compensation: Equity-based, transitioning to paid tied to revenue and funding milestones

Contract: Fractional, project-based, approx. 10–15 hours per week, with a view to a full-time role

Start: ASAP

Company

OhMyV is an early-stage consumer biotech reinventing s.xüäl health.

Our first product, vögeln, is the first microbiome-certified lubricant of its kind launched in February with early traction, and a second product in development.

Now we’re looking for the right person to own our growth and take vögeln, our first product, to the customers who need it.

If s.xüäl health and doing things that actually haven't been done before fires you up, then we'd love to meet you.

Role

We're looking for a hands-on CMO/CGO to own the growth and marketing of vögeln. You'll define how our product reaches customers, build the brand, grow revenue across DTC and retail, and establish the commercial foundations that will support OhMyV's long-term growth.

You'll work directly with the founder and be the most senior marketing voice in the company. This is a high-ownership role so we're looking for someone who is genuinely self-directed as you'll set your own priorities, manage your own time, and drive outcomes without being managed day to day. The role is fractional to start, with a view to becoming full-time as we grow - we're looking for someone who is excited about growing with us.

Tasks

Responsibilities

Define and execute the overall go-to-market strategy for vögeln

Build and optimise the full acquisition funnel across paid, organic, social, content, and CRM

Identify, test, and scale the channels that drive sustainable customer growth

Develop channel strategies across direct-to-consumer, pharmacy, retail, and distribution

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate commercial partnerships

Build vögeln into a recognised, trusted consumer brand in Germany and beyond

Drive earned media and press coverage in German and international outlets

Own the brand voice, positioning, and creative direction

Identify new market opportunities as we expand beyond Germany

Support fundraising with commercial insights, forecasts, and brand narrative

Establish scalable commercial processes that can grow with the business

How success is measured

Sustainable customer acquisition across multiple channels

Revenue targets achieved across priority sales channels

vögeln established as the leading microbiome-safe s.xüäl wellness brand in Germany

Strategic retail, wholesale, and distribution partnerships secured

Strong brand presence and earned media coverage built

Commercial forecasts consistently supporting company planning

A scalable marketing and GTM function established to support future product launches

Requirements

Essential

Native-level German with strong English

Proven GTM or growth marketing leadership in consumer, health/wellness, s.xüäl wellness, or FMCG

An operator first - you enjoy building and executing

Strong channel expertise across DTC, retail, and e-commerce

Experience managing multiple commercial channels including direct-to-consumer and B2B

Strong commercial negotiation skills

Experience developing positioning and channel strategies

PR confidence - you know how to pitch press and shape a narrative

Experience working with early-stage startups

Ability to work cross-functionally and build commercial capability from the ground up

Self-directed and excited about the OhMyV mission

Desirable

Existing network of retail buyers, media contacts, or distribution partners in Germany

Experience scaling a consumer brand following an early launch

Experience supporting fundraising through brand and commercial storytelling

Familiarity with German MDR advertising law for health/wellness products

Benefits

Compensation

Equity-based to start, with a path to paid compensation tied to revenue and funding milestones.

We'd expect roughly 10–15 hours per week to start, leaving room for other commitments alongside this role.

We're building products that solve real problems while embracing the fact that s.xüäl health should be pleasurable, not just protective.

To apply I’d love to know:

Why does this specific problem space and mission interest you?

What would you prioritise in your first 90 days?
