Fullstack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate backend engineer to join our early team. You will work closely with the co-founders and define the product and technology together and have a lot of room for flexibility.

What you ll be doing

Own ideas from inception to execution.

Working directly with founders to define the product and engineering roadmap.

Designing and implementing backend functionality, architecture and more. You get to work independently and be self-directed and deliver innovative solutions.

You will pave the way for the company to scale to millions of transactions and power digital commerce flows in a unique way.

Write clean and maintainable code that is properly tested and reviewed

Build automated test cases to ensure utmost quality of the platform

Skills we would love to see

You have built backend products preferably in the B2B space that have scaled.

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or its equivalent related experience.

Minimum 7 years of relevant development experience.

Experience leading/building a team

Has built and owned multiple modules and services in one of your roles.

We use the following technologies. Experience in the following areas is preferred.

Experienced and proficient working with at least one of these languages - Scala, Java, Python, Elixir, Go or any functional programming language.

Hands on experience working with relational databases such as Postgres/MySQL

Experience working with AWS or equivalent cloud services

Experience working with Git

Effective written/oral communication skills and able to communicate ideas effectively to a corporate audience and excellent interpersonal skills

Nice to have

Experience working with backend products that have scaled preferably in the B2B space

Experience with Micro service architecture

Experience with large scale distributed applications

Experience in payments (acquiring, issuing, digital wallets, remittances)

Experience working with API frameworks such as Django, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS/Express
