More:

We are the Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen (GWDG), the university computing center for the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and a computing and IT competence center for the Max Planck Society. We have provided high-performance HPC systems for over 40 years, are part of the National High-Performance Computing network, and operate the HLRN-IV system Emmy. We support researchers and students across scientific fields and participate in national and international research projects. This role is part of our AI Service Center for Sensitive and Critical Infrastructure (KISSKI), within the KISSKI-EvoKS subproject, collaborating with SMEs and startups—primarily in sectors with high data protection requirements—to develop prototypes and workflows leading to proofs of concept and blueprints. The position is in our interdisciplinary team of HPC experts in the Computing working group. We offer a stimulating research environment with the University of Göttingens Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and Campus Institute Data Science, at the intersection of applied computer science, HPC, AI, and machine learning. The role is 39 hours per week (100%), initially limited until 31 December 2029, and suitable for part-time work. Depending on qualifications, remuneration is at TVöD E 13. We aim for long-term collaboration, and a doctorate may be possible. We offer flexible working hours, mobile working, a modern and diverse environment close to academia and research, collaboration in a committed team, opportunities for professional development, and public-sector social benefits. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from severely disabled people.
