We're seeking a mid- and Senior-level Go / Kubernetes Engineer (B2B) to join a 1-year mission with possibilities for extension.
What you'll do:
Build Kubernetes Operators/Controllers in Go to automate provisioning and lifecycle management across bare-metal and edge-cloud infrastructure
Design CRDs, reconciliation logic, and cloud-native Go backend services/APIs
Integrate infrastructure, networking, and platform layers via Kubernetes APIs
Automate bare-metal Kubernetes environments and support AI/ML and security teams building Kubernetes-native tooling
Shape architecture decisions for distributed cloud/edge systems; write automated tests (unit/integration/e2e); debug Go services and controllers; participate in code review
Must-haves:
Go engineering
5+ years in software development, 3+ years hands-on Go
Solid grasp of interfaces/composition, error handling, module design, dependency management, standard library
Strong concurrency skills: goroutines, channels, sync primitives, context/cancellation
Experience building long-running services, controllers, or distributed systems in Go
REST and/or gRPC API design/consumption
Automated testing (unit + integration) and hands-on debugging experience
Kubernetes / cloud-native
Built Operators/Custom Controllers in Go; strong Kubernetes API experience
CRD design; solid understanding of the reconciliation pattern and controller lifecycle
Working knowledge of controller-runtime, client-go, Kubebuilder and/or Operator SDK
Understands reconciliation loops, watches, informers/caching, status/conditions, finalizers, owner references
Experience across bare-metal, managed Kubernetes, and distributed/edge setups
Builds containerized Go applications
Infrastructure / networking
Familiarity with cloud, edge, and IoT infra concepts
Understands bare-metal provisioning automation and low-level networking
Grasp of how Kubernetes interacts with compute, storage, and networking
Solid distributed-systems and infra-architecture fundamentals
Background
Telco domain exposure — a plus
CS/Engineering/IT degree or equivalent practical experience
Comfortable working cross-functionally with infra, networking, security, and AI/ML engineers
Nice-to-haves:
Admission webhooks / Kubernetes API extension mechanisms
API machinery & versioning knowledge
Testing controllers with envtest or similar
Cluster API (CAPI) or comparable lifecycle frameworks
Bare-metal provisioning tools: Metal³/Bare Metal Operator, Ironic, or similar
CNI / Kubernetes networking knowledge
Infrastructure as Code / automation experience
GitOps tooling exposure
Observability stack experience (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
Go performance profiling (pprof)
Kubernetes security: RBAC, admission control, secrets management, workload security
Kubernetes-native AI/ML workload experience
Exposure to telco/highly distributed edge cloud architectures
