Snapscale is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Virtual Assistant to support day-to-day U.S. clinic operations in a remote setup and ensure a seamless patient experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in U.S. healthcare processes. The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in EMR systems, specifically Athena EMR, and the ability to manage multiple clinical and administrative tasks efficiently while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Verify patient benefits and insurance coverage accurately and efficiently

Reactivate past patients and maintain engagement through consistent follow-ups

Handle inbound calls and assist patients with inquiries professionally and empathetically

Conduct appointment confirmations, reminders, and outbound follow-ups

Schedule and reschedule patient appointments using Athena EMR

Maintain and update patient records in Athena EMR (required)

Perform medical chart scrubbing to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient data

Process and manage prior authorizations following payer and clinic guidelines

Handle prescription refills in accordance with clinic protocols

Audit laboratory results and follow up on missing or pending reports

Support monitoring and coordination of clinic workflows in a remote setting, including virtual systems and tools

Minimum 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience with Athena EMR (required)

Experience working with US based clinics and/or health insurance providers

Experience in insurance verification, patient coordination, and inbound call handling

Experience in medical chart scrubbing and prior authorization processing

Experience in refill processing, lab result auditing, and follow-up coordination

Medical billing and coding experience is an advantage

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated for remote work

Must have a stable internet connection and a dedicated quiet home workspace
