Join our HRIS team as an HRIS Analyst and help drive innovative HR technology solutions.The HRIS Analyst serves as the primary system administrator and business analyst for HRIS, payroll technology platforms, and related HR technology tools, including UKG and Docebo. This position is responsible for system administration, configuration, testing, integrations, reporting, automation, documentation, governance, and process optimization. The role partners with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and business leaders to translate needs into compliant, scalable solutions while maintaining appropriate separation between HRIS/payroll technology administration and payroll processing responsibilities.

This is a remote position with periodic travel to Yakima for on-site staff meetings required. Candidates must reside in one of these U.S. states: WA, OR, ID, CA, AZ, CO, TX, IL, IN, WI, TN, MA, MD, VA, NC, AL, GA, FL (some restrictions within WA and CA).

Please Note: This position does not process payroll, approve payroll, authorize employee compensation changes, approve payroll tax filings, approve payroll reconciliations, release payroll funding, or perform final payroll approval functions. Responsibility for payroll processing, compliance review, payroll validation, reconciliations, and payroll approval remains within the Payroll function.

What You’ll Do:

Assess current configuration and workflows; identify gaps, risks and opportunities to streamline HR, Payroll, Benefits, and timekeeping processes through system setup, automation, reporting, integrations, and workflow redesign.

Manage and maintain an HRIS optimization and configuration roadmap/backlog; own intake, discoveryrequirements gathering, impact analysis, prioritization, effort sizing, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.

Define solution approach with HRIS and functional stakeholders; make and document configuration decisions, establish configuration standards, and ensure alignment for build,testing, go-live readiness, and long-term support.

Perform technical testing of configurations, integrations, workflows, upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory system changes; coordinate testers, document test scenarios/scripts, triage defects, validate fixes, and confirm release readiness.

Maintain documentation supporting configuration changes, testing results, approval records, security role assignments, process maps, decision logs, SOPs, governance workbooks, and system-of-record documentation to ensure consistency, auditability, and knowledge transfer.

Develop payroll, HRIS, and operational reports; create automated reporting solutions; analyze system data; and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, compliance, and user experience.

Serve as escalation point for complex production issues and configuration defects; perform root cause analysis, document findings, and determine corrective actions involving configuration, process, security, reporting, or training.

Collaborate with vendors, internal delivery partners, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and business stakeholders to support system functionality, integrations, releases, implementation initiatives, issue resolution, training needs, and operational alignment.

Maintain clear separation between system configuration responsibilities and payroll processing responsibilities; this position does not process payroll, approve payroll, authorize compensation changes, approve payroll tax filings, approve payroll reconciliations, release payroll funding, or perform final payroll approval functions.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other relevant field and at least 4 years of professional HRIS/HR operations systems work experience or comparable IT Business Analyst/Systems Analyst experience, OR

Associate’s Degree and at least 6years of professional HRIS/HR operations systems work experience or comparable IT Business Analyst/Systems Analyst experience, OR

High School Diploma/GED and at least 8years of professional HRIS/HR operations systems work experience or comparable IT Business Analyst/Systems Analyst experience.

Work experience must include requirements gathering, configuration/support, reporting, and cross-functional delivery through testing/UAT and go-live.

At least 2 years’ experience with UKG Pro WFM or related UKG platform administration is required.

Experience supporting HRIS platforms beyond UKG (e.g., LMS integrations such as Docebo) and coordinating cross-system configuration changes is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong knowledge of HRIS, payroll systems, timekeeping, benefits integrations, payroll compliance concepts, tax configuration considerations, security roles, reporting, and system governance.

Business analysis: lead intake/discovery; facilitate stakeholders; define scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, requirements, and acceptance criteria; translate needs into clear, testable solutions.

Documentation: create and maintain process maps, user stories/use cases, functional specifications, configuration workbooks, SOPs, decision logs, testing evidence, version control, and traceability from request through delivery.

Testing/UAT: develop test plans and scripts; coordinate testers; log and triage defects; validate fixes; document results; and confirm readiness for release/go-live.

Ability to maintain appropriate segregation between payroll technology administration and payroll processing activities, while supporting internal controls, audit readiness, data integrity, and compliance requirements.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, discretion, organization, prioritization, and ability to handle confidential information in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods on a daily basis.
