What the posting says

Role Title: Imagery Analyst — Drone & Maritime

Role Type: Contractor — part-time or full-time

Location: Remote, U.S.-based

Opportunity Snapshot

Pay: $30— $60

Volume: Steady throughput expected; you set your own pace

Commitment: Part-time or full-time, your schedule

Location: Remote — U.S. citizens only

You’ll need: U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Common Access Card (CAC)

Your tasks: Review and correct object labels on drone and maritime imagery

micro1 is engaging imagery annotators for a Navy project working with drone and maritime sensor imagery. This role requires an active DoD Common Access Card — if you don’t have one, this project isn’t a fit, but we run other annotation projects without that requirement.

The work is precise and repetitive: you review object labels that a machine generated, fix the ones that are wrong, and add the ones it missed. No AI experience required. What matters is a careful eye and the discipline to stay accurate across long sessions.

What you’ll do

Review machine-generated bounding boxes on still imagery and correct the ones that are off.

Find and label objects the model missed.

Apply the labeling guidelines consistently across every image.

Work within a secure Navy environment using the provided tools.

Maintain steady throughput — you’re paid per submitted image.

Flag ambiguous cases to the team instead of guessing.

Move into video frame annotation as the project expands.

What we’re looking for

U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Common Access Card (CAC).

Strong attention to detail and the patience for repetitive, accuracy-critical work.

Experience with data labeling or bounding box annotation is a plus, but not required.

Familiarity with aerial, maritime, satellite, or thermal imagery is a plus.

Comfortable learning new labeling software.

Clear written and verbal communication.
