About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp is scaling quickly, and we want to find and keep the best talent in the world—regardless of where they live. You’ll help make that possible by building an immigration program that enables us to hire globally and gives employees expert guidance, proactive communication, and a seamless experience.

In this role, you’ll be Ramp’s immigration expert and own our immigration and global mobility programs—partnering with outside counsel to run individual cases with real care while building the policies, workflows, and vendor partnerships that let the program scale as we grow. You’ll work closely with Recruiting, People Partners, Legal, Finance, Payroll, business leaders, and outside counsel. This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch role: you’ll support the casework while designing the system at the same time.

What You'll Do

Own Ramp’s immigration program end to end—including policy, workflows, vendor partnerships, employee guidance, and the candidate and employee experience

Manage U.S., UK, and Canadian visa cases from offer through renewals, transfers, and permanent residency, partnering closely with external counsel

Be the trusted point of contact for sponsored employees, providing proactive updates, clear answers, and reliable follow-through

Translate complex, evolving immigration requirements into practical guidance for employees and leaders

Manage program performance and spend, holding counsel and vendors accountable for responsiveness, quality, timelines, and employee experience while partnering with Finance on forecasting and budget

Maintain clear reporting on case volume, timelines, outcomes, spend, vendor performance, employee satisfaction, and risk

Shape Ramp’s immigration strategy—including what we sponsor, how we approach edge cases, and where we take risk—and drive decisions with leadership

Automate and standardize the program while preserving a high-touch experience, including building repeatable frameworks for supporting new countries

Manage international and domestic relocations end to end, and advise teams on what’s possible, what it costs, and how long it takes

What You Need

5+ years of immigration experience, with direct ownership of employment-based immigration casework in-house at a company

Working command of U.S. employment-based immigration, plus exposure to UK and/or Canadian routes

Strong vendor management with immigration counsel and relocation partners — you hold them to a standard rather than just routing work to them

Program-management chops: you've scaled and improved processes as a company grew, and built them from scratch when nothing existed

Full autonomy and ownership, with follow-through on every commitment

Genuine kindness and compassion — you're supporting people through some of the highest-stakes moments of their lives

Exceptional attention to detail; in this function, a missed date has real consequences

Outstanding communication, especially translating legal complexity into plain language

High organizational capacity across many open cases, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias toward action balanced with sound compliance judgment

Nice-to-Haves

Experience standing up immigration/mobility functions in additional countries beyond the US/UK/Canada (e.g., APAC, EU, LatAm).

Prior experience at a high-growth startup navigating rapid global expansion.
