PHP/Symfony engineer

Our client is now experiencing a period of growth and we urgently require developers to join our engineering team. The developer(s) will own certain parts of the core platform but has the opportunity to work across the platform. It's an amazing opportunity to get hands-on with cutting-edge software development and delivery for a green-field project.

Responsibilities:

Architect and implement applications as a part of distributed team

Analyse, decompose, plan and estimate new features

Integrate with 3d parties (payments, ID verification, SMS / Email gateways, Push notifications etc)

Support the product during the whole lifecycle

Requirements:

3+ years of professional experience in back-end development using Symfony;

Understanding of software engineering fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, DDD, SOLID, REST API design);

Strong PHP skills;

Strong work experience with Symfony, SQL DB (MySQL or PostgreSQL);

Experience integrating web applications with other applications using SOAP/REST based web services;

Experience with large, high volume Web infrastructures;

Experience with Git;

Experience in development of complex server applications;

Basic front-end development experience (HTML/CSS, JavaScript);

Understanding Symfony (flow, doctrine, form, eventdispatcher);

English Upper Intermediate.

Nice to have:

Experience working in IT ideally within Financial sectors e.g. payments or banking

Experience with AWS infrastructure
