About this job:

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join an international project for a leading multinational CPG company. The role is focused on SAP ECC development and integrations, including custom ABAP solutions, interfaces with external systems, BAPI/RFC-based integrations, and SOAP Web Services.

This is a full-time freelance opportunity. The initial project duration is 2–3 months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs.

Location: Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Georgia

How you'll make an impact:

Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP solutions in SAP ECC;

Develop and enhance reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, workflows, and other custom SAP developments;

Build and maintain integrations between SAP ERP and external applications;

Develop integrations using standard SAP BAPIs, RFC-enabled function modules, and SOAP Web Services;

Implement service wrappers around standard BAPIs to enable external systems to create, update, and process business documents in SAP ERP;

Develop and support inbound and outbound ABAP interfaces for data exchange with external systems;

Support SAP ERP integration and process automation scenarios;

Debug and troubleshoot existing ABAP developments and interfaces;

Perform performance analysis and optimization of existing ABAP solutions;

Ensure developments comply with SAP standards, naming conventions, transport procedures, and documentation requirements;

Work closely with SAP functional consultants and integration teams to translate business and integration requirements into technical solutions;

Provide technical support for existing SAP ECC applications, interfaces, and custom developments.

What makes you a great fit:

Senior-level hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development in SAP ECC;

Strong practical experience with ABAP reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows;

Strong hands-on experience with BAPIs and RFC-enabled function modules;

Practical experience with SOAP Web Services and SAP-to-external-system integrations;

Solid understanding of inbound and outbound integration scenarios in SAP ERP;

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills;

Experience with ABAP performance analysis and optimization;

Good understanding of SAP development standards and transport management procedures;

Ability to independently analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions;

Experience working closely with SAP functional and integration teams;

Good communication skills and English sufficient for an international project environment.

You are a star if you have:

Previous experience in the CPG/FMCG industry;

Experience with complex SAP ERP integration and process automation scenarios;

Experience developing reusable integration components or service wrappers around standard SAP functionality.
