What the posting says
We are looking for a skilled React Developer to join our front-end engineering team, working on customer-facing and internal platforms that support clinical research, healthcare data analytics, and real-world evidence generation. You will build responsive, high-performance, and easy-to-use user interfaces used by researchers, clinicians, and life-sciences stakeholders worldwide, translating complex healthcare data and workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop new user-facing features using React.js, translating wireframes and UX designs into high-quality, production-ready code;
Build reusable components and front-end libraries/design systems for use across multiple Customertimes products;
Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs / GraphQL services and backend systems handling large-scale healthcare and clinical trial data;
Implement and maintain state management solutions (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or React Query);
Optimize application performance, bundle size, and Core Web Vitals across a wide range of devices and browsers;
Diagnose and troubleshoot bugs, UI defects, and performance issues in existing applications;
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests (Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress) to ensure code quality and reliability;
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies; collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA;
Ensure applications meet WCAG compliance, security, and data-privacy requirements appropriate for healthcare/life-sciences platforms;
Contribute to technical documentation and coding standards; mentor junior developers as needed.
Requirements:
4+ years of professional experience developing with React.js;
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), including DOM manipulation, event handling, and data structures;
In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end tooling;
Thorough understanding of React core principles — JSX, Virtual DOM, hooks, and component lifecycle;
Experience with state management workflows such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, or Flux;
Familiarity with TypeScript is highly desirable;
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL;
Proficiency with version control tools (Git);
Experience with front-end build tools (Webpack and Vite) and CI/CD pipelines;
Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
Additional Comments:
Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharma, or clinical research technology (e.g., eCOA, CTMS, and EDC systems);
Familiarity with data-privacy and compliance considerations (HIPAA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11);
Strong communication skills and ability to translate business/clinical requirements into technical solutions;
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
