What the posting says

Junior Curator

Full-time · Remote · Reports to Content Strategy & Client Insights Lead

Real artists. Real work. Collections that brands actually reach for.

Stocksy is an artist-led visual media co-operative with over 1,800 co-owner artists around the world, photographers, videographers, illustrators, who make work that premium brands trust. Our artists don't just contribute content, they own the company.

We're looking for a Junior Curator to join our Curation Services team. You'll build the galleries and collections that our clients, Sales, and Marketing count on, working from brief through to delivery. This is where you develop a real eye for visual content, working closely with a small team that cares deeply about getting it right.

This is an entry point into curation at Stocksy, and we want the best person we can find for it. Real taste, real drive, and real ambition to grow into more as our collection and our client base keep growing.

If you want your work to be felt by both the brands you're serving and the artists whose work you're curating, this is where you start.

What you'll do

Build galleries and collections from client briefs, Sales requests, and marketing campaigns, working to the specs and timelines each one needs

Learn the Stocksy collection well enough to match a brief on the first pass

Manage the team queue, know what's active, what's due, and what to pick up next

Share coverage with the rest of the Curation Services team so clients always have someone to turn to

Follow our intake, review, and delivery process, and flag what should change as you learn where it slows things down

Spot patterns across requests, recurring client needs, gaps in the collection, and bring them back to the team

What success looks like

By 30 days: you know our intake process, you've shadowed active galleries, and you're getting a feel for the collection

By 90 days: you're running your own queue of gallery builds and client requests, delivering on time

By 6 months: you're a full part of the team's coverage rotation, your eye is sharp enough that requests rarely need rework, and you're bringing your own point of view to what the collection needs next

Who you are

You've got a genuinely strong eye for visual content. You can look at a set of images and tell quickly which one actually works, even before you can fully explain why. You want to build a real career in curation, and you're organized enough to manage a steady flow of work without losing quality. You follow through on what you say you'll do.

What you bring

Some experience with photo editing, curation, gallery or collection building, or a similar visual content role - we care more about the strength of your eye and your instincts than the years on your resume

A portfolio, a collection you've built, or some other example of your judgment we can actually look at

Comfortable running a queue of requests with different deadlines and specs while keeping quality high

A genuine, obsessive interest in visual content, and something to show for it, a personal project, a following, a body of work

Comfort with CRM or project management tools, or a willingness to learn them fast

Reliable and clear - you say what you'll do and you do it

What we offer

Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 per year, reflective of experience

Six weeks paid vacation

Unlimited paid sick days

Paid volunteer day

Health and dental benefits, or a health spending account for team members outside Canada

$1,000 annual education and wellness allowance

Fully remote
