About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Legal Counsel to own two things: protecting the OKX brand globally, and enabling our marketing and commercial engine. Roughly half your time will be spent on IP and marketing legal work - managing our global trademark portfolio through external counsel, advising marketing teams on campaigns, sponsorships and advertising, and coordinating market-entry questions with our regulatory teams and outside firms. The other half is commercial contracts across sponsorship, advertising, vendor and revenue agreements.

You'll work closely with Marketing, Product and Regulatory teams, and act as the bridge to external counsel in the markets where we're expanding.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing OKX's global IP portfolio - trademarks, branding, graphics and creative assets - instructing and overseeing external counsel on registrations and enforcement

Advising marketing teams on campaigns, content, sponsorships and advertising across multiple jurisdictions

Instructing external counsel on market-entry questions (e.g. advertising rules, reverse solicitation, sponsorship structures in new markets) and translating their advice into clear internal guidance

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts - sponsorship, advertising, media, vendor and revenue agreements

Partnering with Regulatory, Product and internal stakeholders to spot issues early and route them to the right specialist

Building and maintaining internal playbooks, templates and guidance so marketing teams can self-serve on routine questions

Supporting brand-protection actions against infringement and misuse of OKX marks

What We Look For In You

Qualified lawyer with 7-10+ years' post-qualification experience in-house or in private practice

Experience advising on marketing, advertising or brand matters - from tech, fintech, payments, media, an advertising agency, or a consumer brand

Hands-on IP portfolio experience: trademark registrations, brand protection, and managing external counsel across jurisdictions

Strong commercial contracts background - drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements including but not limited to sponsorship / advertising agreements, vendor agreements, revenue partnerships, digital assets framework agreements, subscription/distribution agreements, partnership agreements and building required stakeholder relationships

Sound judgment on when to handle an issue directly and when to escalate to regulatory specialists or external counsel

Comfortable working with data and marketing performance context, not just legal text

Clear, practical communicator who gives usable answers to non-lawyers

Nice to Haves

Background in crypto, tech, fintech, traditional marketing and advertising, or sports partnerships.

Experience supporting market entry or expansion into new jurisdictions, contentious experience.

Experience in a global or matrix organisation working across time zones.

Familiarity with data protection issues, material commercial clauses, in marketing (consent, targeting, analytics)

Perks & Benefits

Competitive total compensation package

L&D programs and education subsidy for employees' growth and development

Various team-building programs and company events

Wellness and meal allowances

Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants

More that we love to tell you about during the process!

Our Commitment to Diversity

OKX is committed to equal employment opportunities and building a diverse, inclusive team. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences, and we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement listed above.
