ABOUT THE TEAM
Anduril’s Legal Compliance Team is seeking Legal Counsel-Supply Chain & Government Contracts Compliance to support our growing business lines. The Legal Compliance team is responsible for providing legal guidance and support on compliance issues related to procurement of goods and services, logistics, supplier management, and supplier due diligence in support of Anduril’s U.S. and Foreign government contracts.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking talented Legal Counsel to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA or Washington, D.C. to support a variety of US Government and International business lines. In this role, you will be responsible for supply chain, quality and operations teams within Anduril and partner with the teams to develop, procure, manufacture, and deliver Anduril products at scale in compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements. You will advise on regulatory compliance matters related to government contracting, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant regulations that impact supply chain and Anduril’s compliance framework. You will partner closely with our Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to build, procure, and scale mission-critical systems in alignment with statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements. You will advise on the full spectrum of public procurement compliance, supply chain risk management, domestic sourcing standards, and product integrity frameworks. The ideal candidate blends deep regulatory knowledge with practical problem-solving to help Anduril deploy advanced hardware at commercial speed.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Be a key member of Anduril’s dynamic Legal team serving as a subject matter expert on government contracting regulations, procurement integrity, and supply chain compliance across all development and production programs.
Draft, review, and negotiate high-complexity master procurement agreements, vendor flow-down matrices, and specialized compliance addenda.
Counsel on supplier vetting, due diligence processes, and onboarding requirements, including review of supplier certifications, representations, and compliance documentation.
Support supply chain teams in navigating counterfeit part prevention requirements, including guidance on trusted supplier programs, component obsolescence, and distributor qualification.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations pertaining to supply chain management, including all FAR and DFARS contractual flowdowns and certification requirements
Establish frameworks, SOPs, workflows, and automated intake controls to ensure compliance with mandatory contractual flow-downs, supplier representations, and certifications.
Advise engineering, quality, and sourcing teams on hardware provenance, component authenticity protocols, and traceability controls across electronic and mechanical supply tiers.
Participate in the oversight and validation of all supply chain and quality-related compliance processes.
Engage with our trade compliance team to ensure compliance with customs, export controls, sanctions, and trade laws.
Partner with Anduril teams to maintain comprehensive supply chain risk management (SCRM) posture and address critical infrastructure directives.
Continuously improve Anduril’s representations and certifications to government and non-government entities through integration with the larger Legal and Supply Chain teams.
Monitor emerging defense procurement policy, legislative updates, and national security directives, translating updates into actionable operational guidelines for supply chain operations.
Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the supply chain and the broader business.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
JD degree from a top-tier accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in the United States.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer with a focus on regulatory compliance, supply chain, trade, or commercial law.
2+ years of experience with FAR/DFARS supply chain compliance and certifications (or UK, AUS, or EU equivalents)
Strong understanding of the legal aspects of supply chain management.
Meticulous attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and within a team environment.
Ability to provide clear risk analyses and recommendations to executive leadership.
Ability to be a strong problem solver with skills that extend well beyond risk identification.
Willing and able to work in either Anduril’s Costa Mesa, California or Washington, D.C. office.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
Willing to travel for up to 25% of time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with U.S. government contracting, knowledge of FAR/DFARs (including other transaction) contract compliance obligations including DoD business systems/purchasing requirements
Experience with Aerospace & Defense companies, Robotics, Technology or other manufacturing heavy companies
Demonstrated expertise in domestic preference statutes (BAA, TAA, Berry, specialty metals, etc.) and their application to complex hardware supply chains
Familiarity with Approved Supplier List (ASL) management, supplier scorecards, and performance metrics
Experience working at a start up or ability to establish processes and SOPs from scratch
7-10 years experience partnering with Regulatory Compliance, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations
In-house experience preferred, not required
Active security clearance
US Salary Range
$220,000—$292,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
