Microsoft D365 Business Central Developer

We are looking for a strong Microsoft D365 Business Central Developer to join our Business Applications team within Decision Inc. Our Microsoft D365 Business Central Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL (Application Language). Work closely with functional consultants, solution architects, and clients to deliver scalable, cloud-first solutions that extend standard Business Central functionality while following Microsoft best practices.

What Will You Do?

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design, develop, and maintain custom extensions using AL (Application Language).

Build scalable, upgrade-safe solutions without modifying the standard Business Central application.

Develop and customize Business Central objects, including:

Tables

Pages

Reports

Codeunits

Queries

XMLports

Develop business logic to support finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, and warehouse processes.

Create event-driven solutions using event publishers and subscribers.

Develop integrations with third-party applications through APIs, web services, and Business Central integration capabilities.

Build and maintain reports and document layouts.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across Business Central environments.

Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

Deploy and maintain solutions across development, test, and production environments.

Support solution upgrades and ensure compatibility with new Business Central releases.

Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the development team.

Who Do You Need to Be?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

3 years' Microsoft Dynamics BC implementation experience

Must have participated in at least 3 go-live data conversions, and/or upgrades, and/or full cycle implementations

Experience within consulting service environment

Knowledge of and experience in one of our service offerings, such as Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management, Business Productivity Solutions etc.

Strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to explain technical concepts to businesspeople in a language they understand, and business requirements to technical people

Ability to successfully manage and maintain strong relationships with a team and clients

Effective planning and organizational skills

Passionate and ambitious to deliver on the company's strategic plan

Understanding how to enhance business with technology

Relational thinking (How elements of a solution / program / system fit together)

Experience in Customer and Employee Engagement added benefit

Well groomed, pro-active, enthusiastic, upbeat peoples' person with strong relationship building skills
