Responsibilities
As our Network Automation Software Engineer, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes: If you like the sound of that, here’s some other things we’d love to see… Aussie core capabilities
Building end-to-end solutions and APIs used across a variety of channels (e.g. internal tools and apps, customer-facing websites and apps), utilising industry best practices and leveraging the latest technologies where possible
Automating business processes so our staff can focus on the really important stuff
Working closely with stakeholders, taking part in all stages of the software development life cycle
Solving interesting performance and architectural challenges
Writing clean, maintainable code, following best practices and adhering to coding standards
Working on special projects as directed by the Network Automation Manager
Communicating and coordinating with internal departments
Attending all relevant meetings, training or information sessions conducted by Aussie Broadband
• Performing code reviews
Qualifications
If you like the sound of that, here’s some other things we’d love to see…
Extensive experience (5 years) in Golang development building production grade applications
Experience with containerised solutions
Developing distributed systems and processing
Practical understanding of the Golang Toolchain
Utilising external event buses and caches
• Implementing workflow tools
• CI/CD experience
• Postgres implementations
Working knowledge of OpenAPI and OpenTelemetry implementations
Visualisation of collected metrics, logs and tracing
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm concepts
Familiarity with Networking concepts, DNS, DHCP, TACACS, RADIUS
Familiarity with configuring Cisco IOS-XR
Integration with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
• Strong communication skills
You thrive in a remote environment and can operate independently
