Requirements:

We may consider candidates studying or recently graduated in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Neuroscience / Computational Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

We are looking for strong programming skills, particularly Python and/or C++.

We want a genuine interest in robotics and autonomous systems.

Experience with ROS / ROS 2, drone control systems, PX4 or ArduPilot, MAVLink, NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi or other embedded platforms, computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, reinforcement learning, autonomous navigation, EEG / BCI systems, signal processing, machine learning / deep learning, real-time systems, human–robot interaction, or neuromorphic computing would be highly advantageous.

We are particularly interested in people with strong technical fundamentals who learn quickly.

Responsibilities:

We work closely with our technical team to develop and integrate neurotechnology with drones, robotic systems and autonomous platforms.

We focus on enabling robotic and autonomous systems to receive and respond to commands generated from our brain–computer interfaces and multimodal physiological sensing systems.

Depending on background and interests, we may involve the intern in integrating BCI/neural interface outputs with drones and robotic systems.

We may involve the intern in developing software interfaces between neural signals and robotic control systems.

We may involve the intern in working with ROS / ROS 2, robotics middleware and autonomous systems.

We may involve the intern in developing control pipelines for drones and robotic platforms.

We may involve the intern in integrating EEG and other physiological signals with robotics.

We may involve the intern in processing and interpreting neural signals using Python and/or other programming languages.

We may involve the intern in developing real-time human–machine interaction and control systems.

We may involve the intern in working with computer vision, sensor fusion and multimodal data.

We may involve the intern in developing algorithms for autonomous navigation and robotic control.

We may involve the intern in testing and evaluating neural control of autonomous systems.

We may involve the intern in building simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environments.

We may involve the intern in supporting live demonstrations and experiments involving drones and robotic systems.

We may involve the intern in analysing latency, accuracy, robustness and human–machine interaction performance.

We may involve the intern in translating experimental BCI concepts into functioning robotic systems.

We are NeuroDoctrine, building the Neural OS for high-stakes operations. We develop advanced brain–computer interfaces, neurotechnology and AI systems that enable humans to interact with, monitor and control autonomous machines using neural and physiological signals. This internship is based in Munich and offers a hybrid remote work location. The role is a part-time internship, with pay of 900,00€ - 1.350,00€ per week. We are an interdisciplinary team working at the intersection of neurotechnology, artificial intelligence, robotics and defence, with the ambition of changing how humans interact with autonomous systems.
