What the posting says

Empower Pharmacy is hiring engineers to work on event-driven, distributed systems that actually run a real-world business (regulated pharma), not ad tech or yet another CRUD SaaS.

We just filled one Staff Engineer role directly from my last LinkedIn post (thanks to everyone who shared/applied). Now we’re expanding the team:

- 1 Staff Software Engineer - 4 Senior Software Engineers - 4 Software Engineers (new grad / early career)

All roles are US-based (remote within the US).

We’re a small team owning the core platforms that run manufacturing, operations, and logistics. A lot of the work is greenfield or foundational: distributed systems, workflow orchestration, reliability/observability, and making it all scale in a domain where correctness actually matters.

Tech stack: Java / Spring Boot, React / Next.js, Azure (Service Bus, Kubernetes), SQL Server. Event-driven, service-oriented architecture at enterprise scale. We use AI-assisted development heavily in the workflow (not as a bolt-on), so if you already lean on tools like Copilot/LLMs, you’ll be at home.

We’re setting up a round-robin “Virtual Interview Day” early next week so we can run both interview rounds in a single day for candidates who advance. The process is straightforward: practical discussions, system design, and code; no brainteasers.

If you: - like thinking in terms of systems and failure modes, - are comfortable across the stack (or want to grow there), - and want your work to have direct impact on how a real business operates,

then I’d like to talk.
