I spent nine years as a process and R&D engineer in materials manufacturing, watching critical production data live and die in unversioned Excel files. I retrained as a software engineer to build the systems that should have existed. Currently full-stack at Downshift (part-time, TypeScript/NestJS/React Native) — part-time by design, so I'm free to move full-time. Available from October.

- Replaced a legacy Excel-based dataset with a Rails 8 + PostgreSQL application — schema design, data migration, and real-time dashboards replacing manual report assembly.

- Shipped Gemini-backed pipelines for two production problems: automated i18n across 3 locales, and structured extraction of medical data from uploaded images.

- Built auth from scratch, including OmniAuth for Google, GitHub, and LINE.
