What the posting says

Biobase | Senior Technical Product Engineer, Technical Product Engineer (Early Career) | REMOTE (US, Canada) | Full-time | $150–230k / $90–170k + equity

Biobase has grand ambitions. We broker biospecimens, whole slide images, and the clinical metadata attached to them, on a supply-chain backbone that we're steadily automating. We’re building healthcare-data-focused agents on top of the datasets that we’re assembling, too.

We'd rather build the thing that removes the work than throw people at it. Two roles, one team, both reporting to the CPO:

Senior Technical Product Engineer ($150–230k + meaningful equity). The product team's technical interface. Architecture decisions and code review on the platform (Python/FastAPI, TypeScript/React, Postgres, Azure); the data pipeline and informatics that take specimen, slide, and clinical data in from suppliers and labs; and product ownership of the internal platform that builds our agents (permissions, evals, cost control, guardrails for sensitive data). You've been the reviewer of record somewhere, you've operated what you shipped, and you think in business problems before tickets.

Technical Product Engineer, early career ($90–170k + equity). Same territory at an earlier stage: the platform, the data pipeline and informatics, and the agents we run against our own operations — with a senior product engineer and our lead engineer reviewing your work and pairing when it helps. Open on background – self-taught, bootcamp, degree, research lab, a career you're leaving – selective on the bar. You've built something and someone else used it.

We build with Claude Code every day and expect you to become both fluent with it and skeptical of it. No ticket queue, no spec handed to you. Comp is salary + equity combos you choose between.
